Rds: 11:00am; 12:00pm; 2:00pm; 3:00pm if needed


Prizes: 1st Overall 1 year membership United States Chess Federation (USCF) and free entry into the following weekends tournament Dave Collyer Memorial Feb. 27-28.


Free entry to play John Donaldson ( International Master on Feb. 26th in the Kress Gallery at River Park Square.)

The Spokane Chess Club and the Gary Younker Foundation, in memory of former presidents Dave Collyer and Gary Younker, proudly present the Twenty-Fourth Dave Collyer Memorial tournament.


New Location:    Millwood Presbyterian Church Community Center

                            3223 N. Marguerite,  Millwood, WA 99212  (I-90 Exit 287 -- head north on Argonne 1 mile; left on Euclid at light)


A computer-paired, five-round Swiss System event.

Registration: 10-10:40, February 27, 2016.

Rounds:  11-2:30-7; 9-1:30 or ASAP. 

Time control: Rd. 1: g/90,d5; Rds 2-5: Game/115,d5. 

Entry fee: $27 if received by 2/26, $33 at the door; under 19 $5 less. Telephone entries accepted (pay at door).  All registrants must check in by 10:40 unless a first-round bye was granted.

            A Northwest Grand Prix Event.  $1800 GUARANTEED prize fund.  Class prizes based on at least 5 per class; classes may be reconfigured if less than five class entries.  Only one prize per player (excluding biggest upset). NS, NC, W.  One -point bye available if requested by end of prior round; Sunday bye must be requested by end of round 3.  Director reserves the right to use class pairings in final round.

                   THIRD --     $125

                   Class Prizes: Top Expert $100

$100 first, $70 second: A; B; C; D; E/unrated. 

Biggest Upsets: $100 & $50 (non-provisional ratings).
